Our most popular safari — and for good reason. Two hours gives you real time to ride: we head all the way up to the Sinettäkoski rapids and back, so you get to see the most beautiful stretches of the Ounasjoki in a way you simply can't from the road. Along the way we stop to enjoy the views, take photos and look for wildlife — you might spot an osprey diving, eagles circling overhead, or reindeer drinking by the shore.
After the safety briefing and jet ski induction, we head north as soon as you're ready. Your guide rides beside you the whole time, but you drive your own jet ski. The first part of the route is wide and calm, easy to handle, and the landscape becomes wilder as you go: rocky banks, forested points and finally the Sinettäkoski rapids as the turning point. A classic experience that many of our guests call the highlight of their whole trip.

How long is the route?
We ride north to the Sinettäkoski rapids and back — roughly 30–35 km in total, with several stops for views and photos along the way.
Do I need a driving licence to ride a jet ski?
Yes — the driver needs a valid car driving licence (category B). Passengers don't need one.
What's the age limit?
Drivers must be 18 or older. Passengers are welcome from age 8.
Where does the safari start?
From the Ounaspaviljonki harbour, about 4 km from central Rovaniemi. Exact meeting point and parking instructions are sent with your booking confirmation.
What should I wear?
Dress for the weather — a windproof jacket, long trousers and spare socks in your bag. Two hours is enough time to cool down, so one extra layer is wise.
What if it rains?
We ride normally in light rain. On thunderstorms or heavy weather we reschedule the safari at no extra cost.
Is it suitable for first-timers?
Yes. You get a calm dockside briefing and a riding induction on calm water before we head out, and the guide stays beside you the whole time.
What's the difference between the 1h and 2h safari?
The 1h is an introduction tour that stays near the city. The 2h reaches the Sinettäkoski rapids — a longer route, more dramatic scenery and better photo stops. The 2h is our most popular pick.
